Step 1: Integrate Your Identity Source#
The first step to using Idsync is connecting your identity provider. We support multiple identity providers and make integration simple and secure.
Supported Providers#
Currently, Idsync supports the following identity providers:
| Provider | Status | Documentation |
|---|---|---|
| AWS Cognito | ✅ Available | GitHub Integration |
| Auth0 | 🔜 Coming Soon | - |
| Firebase Auth | 🔜 Coming Soon | - |
| Azure AD B2C | 🔜 Coming Soon | - |
How Integration Works#
When you integrate an identity provider:
- Authentication - We use secure OAuth or IAM roles to access your IDP
- Read-Only Access - We only require read permissions for backups
- Encryption - All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Your Storage - Backups are stored in your own cloud storage
Getting Started#
Choose your identity provider from the list below to view specific integration instructions:
- GitHub Integration - For organizations using GitHub identity
- GitLab Integration - For organizations using GitLab identity
Security Considerations#
Principle of Least Privilege#
We recommend creating dedicated IAM roles or service accounts with minimal permissions required for Idsync to function.
Audit Logging#
All access to your identity provider is logged and can be reviewed in your Idsync dashboard.
